Attempt Circuit Link to Detonator:

Each of the Detonator Circuit Link puzzles is a Jotto game in which you try to determine a hidden sequence of symbols (in this case, colors) by making guesses and receiving a score for each guess. Scoring is one point for each correct symbol in the proper position, and a symbol appears no more than once in a sequence.

The Detonator Circuit Link puzzles randomize each time they are played, so there is no fixed solution. However, a Jotto solver is available that is guaranteed to find a solution, given the intermediate scores. Use Type B scoring, no repeated symbols, an alphabet size of 3, 4, or 5 and a word length of 3 for the Journeyman Project puzzles:

When a 3-color sequence has been completed, supply the score back to the running solver program and it will then determine the best choice for the next guess. Shifting back and forth between the Journeyman Project and the solver program can be done most easily by using the Alt-Tab keystroke to change the active window.

If correctly used, the solver program is guaranteed to find a solution in 6 or fewer guesses for all of the possible hidden answers in level 1 and 2, and for 95% of the possibilities in level 3.
